Classic & Vintage PDR — Original Paint Preserved
Classic and vintage vehicles are the perfect use case for PDR. The factory paint on a numbers-matching '69 Camaro or a survivor air-cooled 911 is irreplaceable — and PDR is the only repair method that leaves it completely untouched.

Why PDR Is Made for Classic Cars
The factory paint on a classic vehicle is part of its provenance — and on numbers-matching survivor cars, it's irreplaceable. Concours judges, classic car appraisers, and informed collector buyers can spot body shop refinish work even when it's done well. The presence of repaint or filler permanently changes the value calculation on a survivor or numbers-matching vehicle.
PDR is the only repair method that doesn't involve sanding, filler, primer, or paint. The factory finish stays completely intact, the original paint signatures (overspray patterns, factory masking lines, original color codes) remain undisturbed, and the vehicle's provenance is preserved. For collector vehicles, this is the only acceptable approach to dent and hail repair.
Honest Assessment Process
PDR isn't always the right answer for very old vehicles. Original paint that's 40-60+ years old can become brittle, and aggressive PDR work can crack or chip aging clear coat. We'll be straight with you about whether PDR is appropriate for your specific vehicle's paint condition. If it's not, we coordinate with our network of classic car restoration shops who specialize in vintage refinishing and panel work.
Insurance Coordination
We work with every major classic car insurer — Hagerty, Grundy, Heacock, American Modern, J.C. Taylor, American Collectors — plus standard auto carriers when classics are insured under regular policies. Most classic policies are agreed-value, which means a defined total-loss threshold may apply on severe damage. We'll review your specific policy and coverage during the free inspection.
Concours and resale documentation: We can provide written documentation of the PDR-only repair approach for concours entry, future sale, or appraisal purposes. Useful when you sell — buyers and dealers appreciate the documented preservation of factory paint.
